Venezia

A city like no other in the world, an open-air museum.

Easily accessible both by car (150 km) or by train. The whole city should be explored on foot, starting from Piazzale Roma, along the narrow streets, to the beautiful St Mark's Square where you can admire byzantine San Marco Basilica, the Clock Tower and the Procuratie Vecchie with their rows of arcades. Three main bridges cross the Grand Canal, as the ancient Rialto Bridge, Scalzi and Accademia bridges. It is worth taking a vaporetto out to the picturesque islands of Murano and Burano, which are famous for their glass blowing.
